As the veteran leader in the organization, Kurt is Kensington Investment Companies President of Real Estate Operations, in our Boston office. Kurt will be deployed on a range of issues that have a significant impact on the improvement of the Kensington properties across our portfolio.
Kurt joined Kensington Investment Company in 1988 as a Financial/Acquisition Analyst. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Director of Real Estate with responsibility for managing the company’s assets, including day-to-day operations of its real estate holdings of over one million square feet of office, retail, and residential investment real estate with a current value of over $500 million.
In 2013, Kurt was promoted to Executive Vice President of Real Estate, responsible for all residential and commercial operations, developments, renovations, capital improvement projects, operating performance, service excellence, and strategic financing. He has completed over $100 million in construction, acquisition, and refinancing loan transactions related to the real estate portfolio during his tenure.
In 2015, he was promoted to Chief Operations Officer of Real Estate. In this role, he is accountable for the operating results of projects that will enhance Kensington’s existing development sites and opportunities that will allow Kensington to add value through its vision, strong management company, and key strategic partnerships.
Prior to Kensington, Kurt began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston and later joined Claremont Real Estate, a Boston-based development company with over one million square feet in real estate assets nationwide. He graduated from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management in 1982.
