Astra Tower received the 2025 Creator Award

We're proud to share that Astra Tower has been honored with the 2025 Creator Award from the Downtown Alliance of Salt Lake City — a recognition of what this project represents for downtown living and the future of our city.
At 658,000 square feet, Astra Tower is the largest building in Salt Lake City, and it was designed with intention from the ground up. Rather than concentrating amenities in a single location, the design team dispersed nearly an acre of amenity space throughout the building, creating pockets for social interaction across vertical and horizontal planes. The result is a living experience that feels both expansive and intimate — first-class amenities, 24/7 concierge service, and a genuine sense of community for residents who call downtown home.
Astra Tower is also on track to achieve LEED Gold certification, reflecting Kensington's longstanding commitment to green building and the communities we serve. One standout feature: the tower's crown lights up to display real-time air quality data across the valley — a way of turning the building's prominence on the skyline into something meaningful for everyone below.
This project brought together roughly a thousand people from across the country, and the pride that collaboration created is something we carry forward. As one team member put it, Astra Tower has raised expectations for what's possible in Salt Lake City. Utah is no longer a flyover state — it's a destination. And Astra Tower is the beacon calling people to stay.
